I am going to start off by saying pink is not my favorite color and would never consider myself a pink kind of girl. However, when the stars align you need to follow the path.
First star; a friend of mine who is also a Babylock Educator, an artist and, a phenomenal digitizer, Karen Parker sent me an edge-to-edge design that needed testing. The design was of daisies and leaves.
Second star; one of my favorite quit shops had fabric on sale. And this fabric had pink daisies
No way was I not going to keep those stars from aligning, but like I said the fabric was pink so, I decided to do a simple block so I could get over the pink quickly. Can you tell that pink is not my color?
Sewed the blocks together in a stair step pattern added a small border and I have a quilt.
Used the edge-to-edge quilting design and I have a quilt.
And interesting that I have rattled on about not being a pink lover, this is the first quilt I grab on cool mornings when I am having my first cup of coffee or in the evening when I am settled in with a good book.
